Staff Day
The first team building JBT Marel had ever organised for their employees. A full day at Complejo La Ciguena in Madrid: internal meeting, Escape Box, catering and a Clash of Teams competition to close.
When a company runs its first team event, it sends a message about the kind of company it wants to be. The HR Director who pushed this one set a high bar from the start.
The morning included a coffee break and an internal meeting before the activities began. Then an Escape Box, where teams worked together under time pressure for the first time. People who had only ever emailed each other suddenly had to trust each other to solve something.
After lunch, Clash of Teams: a gamified competition where teams earned points through logic, creativity and general knowledge challenges, with a live leaderboard tracking everything. The final was loud and exactly how a first Staff Day should end. Everyone arrived by coach from the office and went back the same way.
